The Indiana Soccer Foundation sponsored and presented the Jay Fredrich Good of Soccer Award at the annual Indiana Soccer awards dinner. The award was presented to Howard Green of the Greenfield Area Soccer Club. This recognition is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to youth soccer in the State of Indiana over a long period of time that will be seen for years to come, or to that individual that gives an extraordinary effort to a specific event or program over a relatively short period of time.
“Howard’s passion for developing the youth not only into excellent soccer players and referees, is exceeded only by his drive to give them the experiences to develop the life skills that will serve them well into adulthood,” said Dave Vinten, President of the Indiana Soccer Foundation, during the presentation ceremony. The non-profit organizations mission is to enhance, support, promote and foster programs that benefit the long-term development of local communities in Indiana and the youth within those communities. “Our primary focus in these communities is to improve the lives of youth through programs such as Soccer Across America and TOPSoccer,’ said Dean Vinten, president of the Foundation.
